WEDGE
Friday morning in mandurah wasnt too bad. After wakeing up two hours later than we wanted to due to a shitty alarm, we drove down to mandurah to see whether wedge would be ok. When we got there we found that after the long wait in-between sets there was actully a decent wedge. Josh Garner, Alex Halsey, and Ben Veitch were all there makeing it a lot easier to get a good photo when the set did come through. Looks as though you will probably be seeing a photo or two from this day in a mag soon! Ill be uploading more photos from this day soon. Enjoy.

HALF DONE
I have just gotten my fisheye lens from the states and now im only waiting for the SPL waterhousing which ill be ordering at the end of the week! Pretty stoked that im nearly done with school, now have a good job at cars U wash in Scarborough, and am finally getting closer to being able to travel and surf as much as i want. But anyway below is a photo i found from Yallingup about two months ago, and a photo from my backyard using my new lens. Will hopefully be scoring some decent photos underwater so stay posted. Enjoy!
I had a fair bit of respect for the three blokes out dropping into these.

SUMMER LOOKS LIKE ITS COME EARLY
If your thinking about going for a surf in the next few days, dont. This morning i went down to Trigg point for a surf not expecting much, to find little one foot ankle slappers lapping onto the shore.. After watching it i went in because it looked like when the sets were coming through that there was a little bank going left. It turned out to be pretty ok when the sets came through (every fifteen minutes); I was able to make a lot of barrels because of the little lump of sand. But defiantly seems as though the summer trend of zero to one foot sets is here all ready. Here is a sequence i got after i came in. Enjoy.

ONE OF THOSE DAYS
Today was just one of those days where the ocean couldn't look any more amazing. This morning at around 10:30am after waking up Luke, Ruairidh and myself decided to go and see if there was any swell as we knew it was forecasted straight E'lys all day. We got to the beach to find that the swell was bigger than we thought it was going to be (around one foot). We were about two and a half hours late to surf boogers so we ended up surfing another reef just up the beach which was pretty average.. Later today we decided to go again because we thought the sunset was going to be pretty good and we had nothing else to do. The swell had picked up and we surfed peters for a while; as i hoped the sun started to set and the whole sky and water lighted up into a bright orange/pink colour. Ruairidh and i quickly paddled in and i got my camera crap together and took some photos. Here are some of my favorites from this afternoon. Enjoy!
This is my favorite.
Here is what the sets looked like.

PHOTO DROUGHT
I haven't uploaded man photos lately due two main reasons. 1. no swell 2. NO SWELL!.. getting pretty frustrated at the moment with school and the lack of swell; but things are looking up with only a few more days of school, leavers and summer just around the corner. But the best thing of all is that in around three weeks i should have my fish eye lens and the SPL water-housing for my slr which has been a looong time coming! anyway here is a photo from a few month ago from a trip to ledge Point. Enjoy.

MOVIE STARS!
Ruairidh Graham, Dylan Deehas, Luke Gouvignon, Rik Longley and myself are all going to be movie stars in the US! haha, earlier this week i received an email on my youtube account from some guy in America asking to see if they could use the video featured below in a t.v show in America. The t.v show is the equilivant of funniest home videos australia. The segment which we will be featured in will be called "It Only Hurts When I Laugh". Pretty stoked to see what the do with the video as well as the little bit of coin they have given me for the rights to the video; but anyway have a look at the video. Enjoy!

TWOZEROZERONINE
WOW! This is awesome; here is a film from Todd Barnes showcasing Ben Players best waves of 2009. It has sections from Hawaii East Coast, Bali, and tahiti, which are all amazing. Here is what bp thinks of the video. Enjoy!
I approached Todd Barnes - editor of the Thrash series - to edit this clip of my best waves from 2009 about six months ago. Todd's reply was, 'yeah mate, sweet. It should only take me about 2 weeks to edit.'
I wanted to make a free movie for the public, something that I would look at and make me feel proud.
Six months and about 101 phone calls later Todd had finished the project and when I saw the finished product I realised why it has taken so long. Every wave, every moment and every beat of the song makes me proud.

THE DARK SIDE OF THE LENS
The film below called "the dark side of the lens" would have to be one of the most passionate films i have ever seen. It gives the audience an incredible insight into what it takes to grind out a living as a water-based photographer in the surfing industry. It showcases some amazing footage of his travels to the Atlantic coastline, Ireland, Cornwall and Manchester. Please take a few minutes to watch it, you wont be disappointed.

A SUPER ADVENTURE
I would have killed to have had a SPL housing today! Me and Luke at the last minute decided to trek it down to Yallingup Saturday afternoon hoping that all the swell forecasts were wrong, and they were! After the three hour drive down there we just had enough time before dark to set up our swags and bed for the night. It was pissing down for the majority of the night with SW winds at about 20 knots, that consequently flooded out Lukes swag haha. We woke to find that the radio was left on for too long the night before and that we had a flat battery... which stopped us from checking out rabbits and other spots around Yallingup, but luckily when we got to the beach we found that supers was pumping, with light ESE winds! Below are some photos i took of supers this morning... After we had surfed until the winds changed we headed back up to the car and tried to get a jump of someone which was unsuccessful, we ended up called the RAC to get the car started... So at the end of the day after f#ck all sleep, two calls made to the RAC, two tanks of diesel and one dead segull we scored some pretty sick waves, which made it all worth it. Enjoy!

ROUND ABOUTS
A few nights ago Ruairidh, Jake, Luke and I went for a drive and decided to take some photos of cars tail lights and headlights going around round abouts, this ment a fair bit of driving for ruairidh who has to drive around in circles for for about thirty minutes or so. After we got a few shot we just found a park and took some other photos using the flashlights. Here are the photos i took. Enjoy.
